Garage floor concrete
Derwood's housing stock was built largely between the 1960s and 1990s, which puts most original garage slabs at 30 to 60 years old - well past the point where repair makes more sense than replacement. A replacement slab built with a proper gravel base and the correct thickness for Derwood's clay soil and freeze-thaw winters will last another 30 to 50 years. See our garage floor concrete page for what that replacement process looks like from start to finish.
